What if you could meet eight venture capital funds in one place, in one day?

That's exactly what VC in Town is all about.

On August 20, Startup House Riga will host VC in Town - a unique opportunity for ambitious founders to connect with some of the most active early-stage investors in the Baltics and beyond through curated 1:1 meetings.

Whether you're preparing to raise your first investment round or looking for the right partner to support your next stage of growth, VC in Town is designed to help you make meaningful investor connections.

Meet the Investors

We're excited to welcome eight outstanding venture capital funds, each with its own investment focus and expertise.

Node VC is a sector-agnostic early-stage venture capital fund investing from pre-seed to Series A. The team backs ambitious founders building scalable technology companies across industries, making it a great fit for startups with strong growth potential regardless of sector.

One of the Baltics' most active early-stage investors, Practica Capital focuses primarily on pre-seed and seed companies with global ambitions. The fund is known for leading investment rounds and partnering closely with founders as they scale internationally.

Based in Tallinn and Helsinki, Trind VC invests in early-stage software companies with a particular interest in consumer technology, marketplaces, D2C brands, and product-led B2B software. They look for startups with strong customer traction, scalable business models, and international growth potential.

Iron Wolf Capital backs founders building the next generation of deep tech, AI, defence, robotics, and advanced software companies. The fund looks for exceptional technical teams solving complex problems with technologies capable of creating global impact.

500 Global is one of the world's leading venture capital firms, investing in high-potential startups across dozens of countries. Through its regional investment activities, the fund supports ambitious founders building globally scalable technology businesses, with a strong interest in AI and venture-scale companies.

Firstpick is a Baltic early-stage VC that specializes in being the first institutional investor in promising startups. With a strong focus on AI-first software companies, the team looks for founders building globally relevant products from day one.

Specialist VC invests in startups from the Baltics, Finland, and Ukraine that are building products for international markets. The fund supports founders from pre-seed through Series A, backing ambitious technology companies with global potential.

Superhero Capital is a Finland-based early-stage investor focused on software-driven startups across the Nordics and Baltics. Often acting as the first institutional investor, the fund looks for strong founding teams developing technology products with international growth ambitions.

How VC in Town Works

Applying is simple:

  1. Submit your application.

  2. Select the VC funds you'd like to meet.

  3. Investors review the applications and choose the startups that best fit their investment thesis.

  4. If selected, you'll receive a pre-scheduled 1:1 meeting during the event.

Our goal is to create high-quality conversations between founders and investors, ensuring every meeting is relevant for both sides.

Important Dates

📅 Applications close: August 5

Selected startups will receive their meeting schedules around August 12–13, so we recommend keeping the event window free in your calendar.

Choose Your Investors Wisely

Every VC has a different investment strategy, preferred stage, and industry focus. Before applying, take some time to explore the participating funds and select the ones that best match your startup.

Meeting slots are limited, and investors make the final selection based on the applications they receive. Applying early also gives investors more time to review your company, so don't leave your application until the last minute.

Ready to Meet Your Next Investor?

Whether you're building an AI startup, a SaaS platform, a deep tech company, or the next breakout consumer product, VC in Town offers a unique opportunity to meet leading investors without leaving Latvia.

If you're ready to start fundraising - or simply want valuable feedback from experienced venture capitalists - we'd love to see your application.
